31.03.2021 – My idea of the game was, escaping from an alien prison that's underground, the objective is to get to your spaceship that's up on the surface. With this new scripting knowledge, I have more possibilities to be creative. Firstly I think the best thing I could do to improve the gaming experience is adding puzzles. By puzzles, I mean obtaining keys to open doors or start up your spaceship. Also, I think that these keys should be held by guards in the prison, the first one should be really easy to obtain for the player to get used to the system, so maybe the guard who is guarding him is asleep, but at the end, the key you need to obtain to start up your engine should be in a room full of alien guards, making escaping harder for the player. These puzzles shouldn't be that hard, that the player can't solve them but it should be enough so that they have to think about it, and not just run through the map and call it a day. Also, another thing would like to do is hinting the player what to do, with the motion of the camera, for instance, if a guard is holding the key, the camera should get close to that for a couple of seconds while the player is in hiding, giving the feeling that even the in-game character is thinking about it. – 30 mins – Tons of new ideas that I would like to implement in my game, all thanks to the power of scripting!
